Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 10 October 2026

This statement explains how iHobbs approaches accessibility, what has been reviewed, the known limitations and how to ask for help or report a problem.

Our Commitment

iHobbs wants its website and services to be usable by as many people as reasonably possible. The website has been designed and built with the aim of meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

This is a design target, not a claim of certification or full conformance. The website has not been independently audited, and some known limitations are listed below.

Scope of This Review

This statement covers the iHobbs website. It is based on an internal review completed on 10 October 2026, before the website's public launch, using automated testing tools and manual checks.

The review covered the header, desktop and mobile navigation, home page, Hair Loss and Hair & Extensions pages, Academy pages, the Academy enquiry form and Educator Programme application, Contact, Visit, Book Appointment, Client Information, all policy pages and the page-not-found page. Pages were checked at desktop, tablet and mobile widths and with browser zoom. The unfinished Client Portal page reviewed at that time has since been removed from the website.

The review has not yet included testing with screen readers across devices or testing by disabled users.

What Has Been Checked

  • A “Skip to main content” link is available as the first item when using a keyboard.
  • Navigation, menus, buttons, links and forms can be operated by keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
  • The mobile menu keeps keyboard focus inside it while open and closes with the Escape key.
  • Each page has a descriptive title, one main heading, a logical heading structure and a page language.
  • Form fields have visible labels, required fields are identified and, if a form is submitted with errors, each problem is described next to its field and focus moves to the first field needing attention.
  • Meaningful images have text descriptions and decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Content reflows without sideways scrolling on narrow screens and at high browser zoom, and remains readable with increased text spacing.
  • Small gold text uses a darker tone on light backgrounds, and page links and keyboard scrolling leave space for the header so that the content reached is not hidden behind it.
  • Animations and transitions are reduced when a device is set to reduce motion. The website has no video, audio or automatically moving content.

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following limitations and intend to address them:

  • Before-and-after and result photographs are described in text, but fine visual detail in these images may not be fully conveyed.

If any of these affects you, please contact us and we will provide the information another way.

External Services

Online booking is handled by Wix booking services, and directions open in external map services. These services are run by other companies, and their accessibility is their responsibility once you follow a link to them.

If you have difficulty booking online, please telephone 028 7126 4340 or email info@ihobbshair.com and we will help.

Reporting a Problem or Requesting Another Format

If you find something difficult to use, or need information in a different format, please telephone 028 7126 4340 or email info@ihobbshair.com.

It helps if you can tell us, where possible:

  • the page or information concerned
  • what you were trying to do and what went wrong
  • the format or help that would suit you

You do not need to provide technical details. We will consider every request and respond as reasonably as we can.

Physical Access to iHobbs

The premises are on the ground floor and are wheelchair accessible. Toilet facilities are available, but the toilet is compact and cannot accommodate a wheelchair inside.

Visits are by appointment only. Anyone with particular access requirements is encouraged to contact the clinic before their appointment so that appropriate guidance can be provided.

Review and Improvement

We will review this statement when the website changes significantly, and at least once a year. Known limitations will be addressed as part of ongoing website improvements, and feedback about any barrier helps us decide what to improve first.
