Booking & Cancellation Policy

Last reviewed: 25 September 2026

At iHobbs, appointment time is reserved specifically for each client. Our booking and cancellation policy helps us manage appointment availability fairly while protecting the specialist time allocated to every service.

Booking Your Appointment

Some appointments require a booking payment to secure the reservation. The amount required varies according to the service selected and will be displayed during the online booking process. An appointment requiring a booking payment is not confirmed until the required payment has been received. Current service information, availability and applicable booking payments are managed through our online booking system.

Booking payments are non refundable.

How to Cancel or Reschedule

Clients should use the online booking system where their booking permits cancellation or rescheduling, or contact iHobbs promptly by telephone on 028 7126 4340 or email at info@ihobbshair.com.

A cancellation or rescheduling request is only effective when it is received by iHobbs or recorded by the booking system. Social media messages should not be relied upon for appointment changes.

Rescheduling Your Appointment

We understand that plans sometimes change. Where possible, clients should provide at least 48 hours' notice when requesting to move an appointment. Where the required notice is provided, an eligible booking payment may be transferred to the rearranged appointment, subject to our repeated rescheduling policy.

Repeated Rescheduling

Where a client reschedules two consecutive appointments, iHobbs reserves the right to withdraw advance booking privileges. Further appointments may then be offered on a same day availability basis only.

The client may contact iHobbs on the day they wish to attend. If suitable availability exists, an appointment may be offered. If no suitable appointment is available, the client may contact us again on another day.

Cancellations With Less Than 48 Hours' Notice

Late cancellations can leave specialist appointment time that we are unable to offer to another client. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice therefore require payment of 50% of the booked service price before another appointment can be made.

Any booking payment already received will be taken into account when calculating the amount due.

Failure to Attend

Where a client does not attend a confirmed appointment and has not provided notice, payment of the full booked service amount is required before another appointment can be made. Any booking payment already received will be taken into account.

Where an amount remains due following a late cancellation or non attendance, iHobbs requires this to be settled before accepting another advance booking.

Late Arrival

Clients are asked to arrive on time for their appointments. Because iHobbs services vary significantly in duration and complexity, we do not apply one universal automatic cancellation threshold for lateness.

Where late arrival means there is insufficient time to complete the booked service safely, professionally or without significantly affecting subsequent appointments, iHobbs may need to modify the service, rearrange the appointment or be unable to proceed. Any applicable financial consequence will be considered in accordance with the circumstances and this policy.

Hair Loss Maintenance & Hair Extension Refits

Booking payments for Hair Loss maintenance, Hair Extension refits and other routine bookable services are displayed through our online booking system and may vary according to the service selected.

Maintenance and refit intervals are recommended to help protect the client's natural hair, scalp and installation. Where a client returns significantly outside the recommended maintenance period, iHobbs may need to reassess the installation before proceeding. Additional removal, detangling, remedial work or appointment time may be required and additional charges may apply.

Where the condition of the natural hair, scalp or installation means that proceeding would not be appropriate, iHobbs may postpone or decline the refit.

Exceptional Circumstances

We recognise that genuine emergencies and exceptional circumstances can occur. Where appropriate, iHobbs may consider individual circumstances when applying this policy. Any discretion exercised in one situation does not create an automatic entitlement in another.

If iHobbs Cancels

If iHobbs cancels an appointment, we will normally offer a suitable replacement appointment. If iHobbs cannot provide a suitable alternative, amounts paid for the affected appointment will be refunded as appropriate. This does not limit the client's statutory rights.

Your Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or restrict rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.
