Hair and Extensions Client Terms
Last reviewed: 25 September 2026
These terms apply to iHobbs Hair and Extensions services. They explain consultation, quotations, fittings, concerns, aftercare and maintenance, alongside your statutory consumer rights.
Consultation & Service Selection
Hair and Extensions services begin with an appropriate consultation. During consultation, iHobbs will discuss the proposed service, suitability, relevant limitations, maintenance requirements and other information necessary to help the client make an informed decision.
Where appropriate, clients will have the opportunity to review relevant details such as hair selection, colour, length, density or volume and the proposed service before fitting. Clients should raise any questions or concerns before proceeding with the fitting.
Quotations & Bespoke Advance Payments
Fitting prices are confirmed following consultation or quotation. Before proceeding, clients should review the agreed service, hair selection and any custom or specially ordered hair or materials recorded in their written quotation and order details.
An advance payment for a bespoke fitting or custom order is distinct from an ordinary appointment booking payment. Bespoke advance payments are subject to the written quotation, order details and applicable consumer rights.
Ordinary appointment booking payments, cancellations, rescheduling and non-attendance are governed by the Booking & Cancellation Policy, linked below.
Change of Mind Following Fitting
Hair Extensions involve professional services and products selected following consultation. Once an agreed fitting has been completed, a client is not automatically entitled to a refund simply because they change their mind or subsequently decide that they do not like an element of the agreed result, including an approved hair choice, colour, length, density or volume.
This does not affect the client's rights where there is a genuine issue with the goods supplied or service provided.
Concerns About Extension Hair or Supplied Products
iHobbs sources professional hair and related products from established suppliers but does not manufacture the hair itself. If a client believes there may be a fault with supplied extension hair or another product following installation, they should contact iHobbs promptly so the concern can be assessed.
Where a potential product fault requires supplier investigation, the extensions may need to be professionally removed and submitted for assessment. The client should understand that this may result in a period without their extensions while the investigation takes place.
Raising a product complaint does not automatically result in a refund. The appropriate resolution will depend upon the nature of the concern, assessment findings and applicable consumer rights. iHobbs will remain the client's point of contact throughout the complaint process.
Concerns About the Fitting
Where a client believes there is a problem with the installation or fitting itself, they should contact iHobbs promptly. iHobbs should be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the installation before it is removed, altered or refitted by another practitioner, except where urgent action is reasonably necessary.
Where assessment identifies a genuine issue with the service provided by iHobbs, appropriate corrective action will be considered according to the circumstances and the client's statutory rights. A complaint itself does not automatically create an entitlement to a refund.
Aftercare & Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for following the aftercare and maintenance guidance provided by iHobbs. When assessing a concern, relevant factors may include the client's aftercare, products used, maintenance attendance and whether the installation has subsequently been removed, altered or worked on by another practitioner.
Failure to follow aftercare does not automatically remove a client's statutory rights. Each concern will be considered according to its individual circumstances.
Maintenance & Refits
Clients should follow the maintenance schedule recommended for their particular service. Where a client returns significantly outside the recommended maintenance period, iHobbs may need to reassess the natural hair, scalp and installation before proceeding.
Additional removal, detangling, remedial work or appointment time may be required and additional charges may apply. Where the natural hair or scalp is no longer suitable for the proposed service, iHobbs may postpone, modify or decline a refit.
Clients Under 18
iHobbs may provide appropriate services to clients under 18 with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. For higher commitment services, including Hair Extensions, the required consent must be obtained before the fitting is confirmed and before significant service specific financial or product commitments are made.
Product Descriptions
iHobbs will take reasonable care to ensure material descriptions of hair and products supplied to clients are accurate and based upon information that can be substantiated.
Statutory Rights
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict or replace consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
