What Nano Extensions Are
Small attachments with flexible individual placement.
Nano Extensions are fitted as individual strands using small bead-based attachment points. Because each strand is placed individually, the distribution can be planned around appropriate areas of the natural hair rather than within a continuous row.
Clients may choose Nano Extensions for their movement, placement flexibility and the ability to build length or fullness through selected areas. The finished blend still depends on colour, density, placement, cutting and styling—not attachment size alone.
The method is one professional option within the wider iHobbs extension service. It is recommended only when it makes sense for the hair carrying it and the result being created.
Small does not automatically mean suitable. The whole plan matters.
Suitability & Natural Hair
The natural hair determines what is appropriate.
Nano Extensions may suit clients seeking length, volume or both through an individual strand method. A decision is made only after considering the natural hair and the finished result together.
What informs the recommendation
Natural hair density, length, condition and previous extension history all matter, as do the desired length and volume, the weight and distribution required, concealment, lifestyle, styling habits and commitment to professional maintenance.
Fine hair does not automatically qualify or disqualify someone. Small attachments still place additional weight on individual sections of hair. The available support, condition and strength must therefore be considered carefully.
If another method would distribute the required hair more appropriately, or better suit the desired result, iHobbs may recommend that method instead. Where significant thinning, active or unexplained hair loss, or scalp concerns are present, an extension fitting may not be the appropriate starting point.

The Finished Result
Length, volume and movement designed to work as one.
Nano Extensions can support a subtle increase in fullness, additional length or a more substantial change where suitability allows. Individual placement can offer movement and styling flexibility across appropriate areas of the hair.
A realistic result is not created by the attachments alone. Extension colour and density, thoughtful distribution, the client’s natural hair, concealment, cutting and finishing all shape the final blend.
Concealment varies with natural density, placement and hairstyle. Nano attachments should not be described as universally or completely invisible.
Maintenance, Home Care & Removal
The fitting and the upkeep belong to the same service journey.
Natural hair continues to grow while Nano Extensions are worn. As it grows, attachments move away from their original position and require regular professional maintenance. Your schedule is advised according to your hair, installation and individual needs.
Care between appointments
Appropriate cleansing, conditioning, thorough drying, careful detangling and suitable styling and sleeping habits help keep the hair manageable and reduce unnecessary pulling around the attachment areas.
Professional maintenance and removal
Maintenance provides an opportunity to reassess the attachments, extension hair and natural hair as growth continues. Professional removal is recommended; Nano Extensions should not be pulled, cut or released at home.
